Biography
Multitalented. This most accurately describes Nicole, the artist. Nicole has a broad range of vocal styles spanning from legit, to belt, to R&B, to house. She believes that "in order to be a consummate entertainer, it is necessary to be well-versed in all facets of the industry." Her belief becomes apparent through her major musical influences: Barbra Streisand for her strong and pure vocal performances, Lisa Stansfield for her vocal lines and R&B style, and Madonna for her strong stage presence. She obtained her B.F.A. in acting and her M.A. in Radio-TV-Film from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Currently, Nicole works very closely with
both writers and producers in New York and Detroit to develop her own style
and sound. She plans to become more involved in the writing aspect of her
music in order to enhance the intimacy of her own vocal performances.
